In addition to the responses and analysis in the first three articles in this series, attached are three further documents which are worth reading to set the context for debate on this report from the Theological Forum.

They are:

  1. A review of the report, published in April 2017, by Dr Martin Davie on his blog, under the title: "On not being convinced - A review of the report from the Theological Forum of the Church of Scotland"
  2. A review of Professor Robert Song's book "Covenant and Calling" by Christopher Roberts from the Archdiocese of Philadelphia, USA
  3. An article, written in 2016 by Andrew Goddard, as an evaluation of the ACANZP discussions on the blessing of same-sex marriages. Such a decision was not taken at the 2016 ACANZP General Assembly, rather the Church decided to maintain the traditional doctrines and practices that marriage is between one man and one woman.  Goddard's article refers to Professor Song's work.
